WHO WE ARE
Êtrechar is a creative studio founded and led by Charlene Chang, whose sensibilities and aesthetics are inspired by natural and cultural elements, movement, transformation and connectivity. Être in French is the verb “to be, being, becoming” embodying past, present, and future at once. With the designer as the artist and the space serving as both subject and medium, her projects manifest as healing art: healing land and spaces to heal those within it.
Her philosophy derives from the understanding that the home is an energetic extension of the individual, a mirror of the internal landscape within us. Just as movement and change are innately apart of our lives, the work of Êtrechar serves to provide a foundation for spaces that grow and transform alongside its clients.
Charlene is an intuitive designer and lightworker of spaces providing services in architectural design, interior design, and landscape design in residential and commercial spaces. She finds inspiration from the vibrant energy of multicultural communities and draws on inspiration through her travels and transcendental space.
Êtrechar’s holistic and intuitive design style is grounded in multiple modalities and frameworks including: Feng Shui energetics, Japanese wabi-sabi philosophy, organic architecture, Tao philosophy, and quantum energy work. Our mission is to activate sacred space through the lens of energetics and ecology to radically change the way in which we engage with our home and ultimately, our environment.

Integrative Earth Design with Êtrechar is a unique design process blending energetic modalities and tools to produce a living sanctuary to support our clients’ transformation and growth. We offer a holistic and integrative design process with package offerings specified at three tiers. Our design approach can be tailored for interior and exterior residential, commercial and business applications. Êtrechar offers services that dive into the multidimensional nature of spaces in which our lives inhabit. Our mission is to curate, create, and enhance sacred spaces to energetically support and transform its inhabitants through each season of growth and each season of becoming. We bring healing and beauty to spaces to heal the land and those embodied within it.
