What design services does ÊTRECHAR offer?

We offer services for interior design, remodels, renovations, and new builds for residential or commercial applications at three tiers depending on project scope, budget, and client needs. In addition to interior design and architectural design, we offer landscape and exterior design services.

Tier 1 - Design Development to include any of the following as needed per scope: design floor plans, drawings and renderings, specifications book or sourcebook. Clients receive a design handbook that provides them with a complete design plan to be implemented with their own team of builders now or at a later date. We recommend allocating a minimum of 6 months to 1-year of time for assembling your team, design development, drafting plans, obtaining permits prior to any construction or demolition work.

Tier 2 - Design Development with Sourcing and Installation includes the above details from Tier 1 as well as: our expertise in sourcing products and finishes tailored to fit your budget needs, furniture, materials, wood from vendors we trust; management of purchasing and quality control of products delivered; and coordination of on-site installation.

Tier 3 - Design Development with Sourcing, Purchasing, Installation and Project Management: in addition to all of the aforementioned tiers, we serve as project lead to the clients operating as their agent to ensure their needs are met at the utmost quality and integrity from beginning to end. We provide assistance with obtaining construction bids (as needed), budget management, custom design and manufacturing of any design pieces (furniture, built-ins), and project management of the construction process. We represent your needs and interest in the field when coordinating and working with other vendors. We provide clients with regular updates and are your physical substitutes for the likely chaos to arise on any remodel or construction site everyday. This option provides clients with the flexibility for us to work alongside your existing team (landscaper, architect, builder) or to lead a team on your behalf.

What does an Integrative Earth Design process look like step by step?

Step 1 - 60-minute Alignment Call: To begin, an initial alignment call is required prior to booking an Integrative Earth Design consultation to ensure services and needs are aligned. This session will focus on client needs, vision and alignment of services offered. Clients will leave from the call with intuitive guidance and direction related to their project. Please come prepared with an understanding of our offering and with specific questions in mind related to your project to maximize our time together.

Step 2 - 90-minute Integrative Earth Design Consultation: An introduction to Integrative Earth Design begins with an on-site consultation for client and designer to be acquainted with the design project (i.e. vision, scope, budget, timeline). This session is held on site at the space receiving the offering. The session involves an in-depth discussion, review of project needs and vision, history of the site, and culminates with a guidance reading. Within 1-2 weeks of the consultation, you will be given a comprehensive proposal package which includes: consultation debrief with reflections and tools, vision board, preliminary design timeline, tailored design packages and fees.

For consultations outside of the LA area, travel expenses apply. Bookings for this consultation is made available by invitation with the requisite of an Alignment Call. You will be provided with a booking link via email to schedule an in-person or virtual consultation of your choosing.

Step 3 - Integrative Earth Design Project: Once a proposal has been reviewed and accepted, clients will select a tailored design package of their choice. Design packages are offered in three tiers: 1) Earth Design Development only, 2) Earth Design Development with Design Installation, and 3) Earth Design Development and Installation with project management of the construction, remodel, or renovation.

Fee structures for residential projects are typically priced at a fixed rate while business and commercial projects priced hourly with flexibility for customization. All design packages culminate with a ceremonial clearing and closing. Clients are prescribed a personal ritual practice to further their connection with their new space.

How is pricing structured?

Pricing varies project to project. Please keep in mind that fees for design are separate from fees for interiors, design materials, construction, renovation or project management. We offer pricing structures by hour and as a fixed rate depending on project scope, needs, and budget. Pricing for projects is provided with the 90-minute On-Site Design Consultation. Thus, this alignment call is structured as a service where we have an opportunity to dive into your project to provide you with clarity, direction and an assessment of how we can best provide you with assistance.
